Taste icons of Italian and Austrian wine at the Vignaioli 17th annual portfolio tasting Sept. 13

dino tantawi

Since 1999, Vignaioli Selection has been importing some of the greatest artisanal wines from Italy and Austria and making them available to restaurants and wine shops in New York.

Countless iconic and classic estates have found their way to the U.S. thanks to founder and owner Dino Tantawi (above, center), who was already a veteran member of the New York wine trade when he launched the company nearly two decades ago.

At the time, the Italian wine renaissance was just beginning to take shape in New York and hadn’t yet spread throughout the U.S. But with uncanny clairvoyance, Dino already had a vision of an America that would love not just Nebbiolo and Sangiovese but also Aglianico, Fiano, Friulano, and Malvasia — just to name a few grape varieties that almost no one had heard of at the time.

Dino’s relationships with some of the top buyers in the country has helped American wine lovers to discover some of Europe’s greatest wines. And it’s all thanks to his belief in artisanal, terroir-driven winemaking and his conviction that these wines deserve a place at the American dinner table.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to taste a wide range of wines from the Vignaioli Selection portfolio.
